Our Favorite Things About Living In Hyde Park, New York

Historic Hyde Park is probably best known for being the hometown of U. S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.  It's a beautiful, scenic place situated on the Hudson River with a great sense of community and all the amenities anybody would want in a home town.  It's a great place to live and raise a family!

Hotels, Spa, Conference Center, Restaurant, Retail & Residential Lofts Planned in Hyde Park

Concept plans for a 339-acre parcel in Hyde Park, named "Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park", have been updated and were presented to a joint meeting of the Hyde Park Town Board and the Hyde Park Planning Board on Monday.

The first-phase plan calls for developing two hotels, one high-end luxury hotel with a conference center and spa with a national brand reservation system, and a second middle-market hotel.  The first phase plan also includes a free-standing signature restaurant and culinary-based retail establishments with 40 residential lofts above the stores. A later phase would involve building 500 residential housing units.

The next step for the developers is to present a site plan to the Hyde Park Planning Board.

An economic impact study by Hotel & Leisure Advisors of Cleveland, Ohio, projects an economic impact from visitor spending of $29.8 million in first-year revenues and an overall impact, including indirect economic effects, of $47.7 million. The study estimated 369 permanent jobs would be created in the hotels, restaurant, spas, conference center and retail shops, and approximately 550 construction jobs would be created in building phase one.

Many Opportunities to Buy New Construction in Dutchess County

Are you a potential home buyer in the Mid-Hudson Valley who just can't find the right home?  Well you're not alone.  There are lots of frustrated buyers out there who have already looked at everything in their price range but just haven't found the home that makes them want to pull the trigger.

There is some good news this Spring and Summer.  Builder confidence is up.  This means more builders (and their banks) are investing in new subdivisions.  This has created many more opportunities for buyers.

In Dutchess County alone there are hundreds of opportunities to either purchase a newly-constructed home that is 'nearly' completed, get on the ground floor of a home that has just been started, commit to build with the builder in a new subdivision, or purchase raw land and hire your own builder.
